Plaid Pear

This painting appeared to me in 2003. It features a still life painting of a pear with plaid-patterned skin. From this one idea, I now have a whole set of planned still life “fabric fruit”: corduroy cantaloupe, wool watermelon, burlap blueberry, etc.
