Girl with a Tornado
Girl with a Tornado
This painting first appeared to me in 2000. In the original painting, it featured a little girl with pigtails. The point of view was a little lower, looking up at her, making the tornado appear even more ominous. I have painted this a couple of times over the years, and it has evolved into a grown woman—maybe because a grown woman is capable of making her own decisions to play with danger. Tornadoes have infiltrated my dreams since early childhood and still do to this day. Fun fact: I’ve never seen a tornado.
