I think the April VAGF meeting will go down in my history book as a night to remember. First, Tammy Meinershagen, our council member and advocate for all things arts and culture was the guest speaker. She is an amazing, talented and passionate person for the arts and gave a motivating talk about getting involved and doing your part to promote and move the arts forward in our community. Then I was honored to be chosen VAGF artist of the month with my piece “Nomad”. But the highlight was the trophy/award which is a metal sculpture by Roger Belveal, Futurist Sculptor.
