Another span of time between updates but there's good reason - busy, busy and busy! Busy is good when you're having fun.
Recently, I had a piece at Frisco Dental Studio for the 'Wildlife' show, a tiger from the Ft. Worth zoo, circa 1990. It's currently available in my art for purchase.
I currently have a piece called 'Beautiful Day' at Sweetwater Coffee & Tea in the 'Weather' themed show. A painting inspired by an old black and white ad from one of the early issues of Vogue magazine circa 1920 of a couple driving what is probably the first model of automobile. The actual title is 'Ain't We Got Fun'. Meet the artist event is Sunday, Sept. 17th 3-5pm.
Meanwhile, over at Texas Title in the 'Western' themed show I have a painting of Monument Valley in early sunset, acylic on canvas. Meet the artist event will be Sep. 28th, 5:30-7:30pm
At the Frisco Dental Studio is currently the 'Cityscape' show. Meet the artist event is on September 17th, 3-5. My piece is a framed print of a watercolor journal page of Golden Gate bridge circa 1990.
This last week on September 13th at the Hyatt Regency Frisco, was an art pop-up event by Play Frisco, a parks and the arts meet and greet. Artists can volunteer to help set up and take down in exchange for a couple of artwork spots on the display booth. There was a decent amount of exposure and I gained a fan! A gentleman and his wife bought one of my paintings, 'A Touch of Sun' - a sun dappled, floral and foliage covered porch.
Well I think that's good for now, more to come very soon!
